The World Cup. An international extravaganza. An emotional rollercoaster. The highpoint of the entire year and inspiration to millions. But what about people who don’t like football?

Uniform set its own brief – to make this magical event accessible to the non-fan. We recruited creatives from each of the 32 competing countries. After every match, the two artists had to use their skill, pace and creative genius to produce a piece of work inside 90 minutes. The competing works were then displayed side by side on 326490.com. The responses went live 24 hours after the game, with the finished works from all 64 matches forming a unique creative expression of the World Cup muse.

The 32 creatives involved have managed to replicate that initial wonder we all felt when we first fell in love with the World Cup.

We produced a book capturing the whole project, which we sold to raise money for charity, and exhibited a selection of the prints at Designival 2014 in Liverpool. The exhibition has been on tour, including a two week installation in World Cup host nation Brazil.
