When asked to design and launch the new Mitre Delta, official match ball for the EFL and SPFL, our creatives aimed to remain faithful to the original Delta mark and the ball’s nostalgic fans. But the serious innovation behind the industry’s most technologically advanced football demanded an update worthy of its legendary status for the next generation of footballers.
The result? Swarm. The end design celebrates the best qualities of the ball, and those who play with it: speed, power and accuracy, along with beauty in motion.
Fans love it. Following a high-profile launch of a six week campaign at Wembley, the ball became the top-selling item at mitre.com. It’s since inspired a flurry of social media activity, and been featured by the likes of SoccerBible and on Soccer AM. According to presenter Tubes, “it’s definitely a class ball”.
