Our Journey

Uniform was founded in 1998 two weeks after our founders finished university. From day one we felt Uniform would always be bigger than its founders. We had a desire to do impactful and creative work, and build a great business, both culturally and commercially. That’s still at the heart of Uniform today.

Over the last 20 years we’ve grown sustainably and purposefully. From our 3 founders to the 50+ people we employ today. We work across a range of sectors but have deep expertise in architecture and property, product manufacturers, sport, food & drink and retail.

Strategy, creativity and technology have always been essential ingredients in our work. Now we see them as the cornerstones of what makes a Uniform business.

And as we embark on our next phase of growth, building a truly modern family of creative businesses, we’ll use them as a benchmark for finding the right long term partners.

Over the years we’ve been recognised by D&AD, Fast Company, Dezeen, Design Week, CG Architect and many more for our work.

But beyond creativity, creating an environment where individuals thrive and can do the best work of their lives is high on our priority list. We’ve been a Best Company for three years running, we’re a living wage employer, and we don’t believe in free placements... we’ve been offering paid internships for over 10 years.

But we still want to do more. To continue to build a responsible, sustainable and purposeful business. We believe better business can change the world. We’re optimistic about the impact we can make. We’re future confident not only for our clients but for society, the environment and for the economy.

And we’re currently on the path to becoming a B-Corp, as we want to be part of a global community of leaders using business as a force for good.

Bold Street Studios

We own and operate Bold Street Studios. A 12,000 sq ft building with offices across two floors, in the heart of Liverpool's buzzing independent district. A place for creative, digital and tech companies to work together, and also our home.

Currently fully let, we occupy the third floor, and share the building with our neighbours Fourth Wall Publishing, an independent producer of children's content.
